Several Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to agree with Mauricio Pochettino after he said Juan Foyth has the potential to be world-class, as per Evening Standard journalist Dan Kilpatrick.
The 22-year-old Argentine could be likely to fight it out with Kyle Walker-Peters and Serge Aurier for the right-back spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season following Kieran Trippier’s departure.
Trippier left the north London outfit for Atletico Madrid in a £20million deal after receiving criticism in his final season.
Meanwhile, Foyth kept three clean sheets in 12 Premier League matches last season, compared with Walker-Peters who managed three in nine, and Aurier with six in 25.
As well as playing at right-back and centre-half for the Lilywhites in the most recent campaign, the former Club Estudiantes de La Plata man also made his debut for Argentina back in November.
And it is clear some supporters of the Champions League finalists are on the same page as Pochettino when it comes to their expectations of Foyth.
Here is just some of the reaction:
And he’s right! Serious talent, despite some of the rubbish you read on here……shock! Horror!! Young man makes a mistake in a high pressure job! Sell him!
