Tottenham Hotspur returned to the action on Friday as they hosted Manchester United in the Premier League.
Spurs started the game the better of the two sides, with Steven Bergwijn putting Jose Mourinho’s side 1-0 up albeit with some help from David De Gea. However, Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty towards the end of the match to seal a point for the Red Devils.
As such, the Lilywhites are in 8th and are six points behind Chelsea in the last Champions League qualification spot. If they fail to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition, that could affect their ability to be competitive in the transfer market.

According to football.london, though, they may not need big funds anyway, as they are targetting players in the final year of their contracts. They say that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Arkadiusz Milik and Nathan Ferguson are on their radar.
