According to Calciomercato.com, Tottenham will make a move for Inter’s Marcelo Brozovic during the January transfer window.
Brozovic targetted by Mourinho
Spurs were actually linked with the Croatia international during the summer, but a move didn’t materialise. Under Antonio Conte so far this campaign, he has started just two out of four Serie A matches, and the report says that he will be up for sale in less than three months.

As such, Jose Mourinho and co are set to swoop. They are not the only side who are interested, though – Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are also mentioned as potential suitors.
Great addition to Mourinho’s midfield
Whilst he may not be having the best term so far – he put in a poor performance in the Milan derby, as Calciomercato also say – Brozovic is a highly talented player. He is a World Cup finalist, after all, having played against France in the 2018 showpiece. During his career with Internazionale, he has regularly averaged a season WhoScored rating of over seven, and he is still just 27.

Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic even called him “amongst the best in the world” in his position, and he has also been compared to Spain legend Xavi. Currently valued at £45m by Transfermarkt, Brozovic is clearly a top-quality player. Mourinho has plenty of midfield options, of course, with the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joining in the summer to boost the squad even more. In Brozovic, though, they would be signing a player that could arguably take them to a new level.
