Though the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern remain frustrated about their FA Cup exit at the hands of Chelsea, they’ve been given some reprieve to say the very least.
In what ultimately proved to be a fiery game at Stamford Bridge on Monday night, United star Marcos Rojo appeared to stamp on Blues superstar Eden Hazard, somewhat akin to Tyrone Mings’ action against Red Devils talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic last weekend.
As a result, the Bournemouth defender was banned for five games, though the Argentine will not receive any retrospective action for his clash with Hazard. That’s caused an uproar amongst the punters in the bar, who believe it’s a prime example of the favouritism one of England’ biggest clubs get against the ‘smaller’ teams in the league get from the powers that be.
With that in mind, here’a look at how fans on Twitter reacted to Rojo’s escape.
Starting to think its Rojo who runs the @FA not United. Not given suspensions:
2 games for Gueye tackle
2 for Zaha tackle
5 for Hazard stamp— Bertie (@MCFCPropaganda) March 14, 2017
When United fans says there is a campaign against them after Rojo avoided yet another ban https://t.co/CRKN0yEDlp

I see #Rojo has been let off for a 3rd time this season by the #FA. Usual preferential treatment for #MUFC. should keep @donalskelly03 happy

You know United's rivals have an agenda against United when they are sour about Marcos ROJO not receiving a retrospective suspension. #mufc
