The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern had an absolutely wonderful day yesterday. Indeed, not only did those behind the scenes bring Lucas Moura to the club, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men stuffed Manchester United in front of a record attendance for a Premier League game at Wembley last night.
It was a stunning performance and, alongside Spurs’ famous win against Real Madrid in the Champions League earlier this season, as one of the best wins supporters have experienced in years. Though temporary life at Wembley hasn’t always been proven all too enjoyable, it seems the showpieces at the home of national football always go well for their year-long residents.
With that in mind, some Spurs fans have even taken to Twitter to ask if they can STAY at Wembley. Not many would have thought that would happen during the draws to the likes of Swansea and West Brom at the start of the campaign, so it’s interesting to watch such a turnaround.
Having said that, here’s a closer look at the reaction on social media.

I’ve mentioned this before I know, but the Spurs Wembley thing is mysterious. Overall I think it’s been bad for them – they’d maybe have 10-12 more points otherwise – yet they’ve comfortably dispatched some of the game’s grandest names – Real Madrid, Liverpool, Everton, United.
