According to the printed version of Catalan Newspaper Mundo Deportivo Glen Johnson could be on the radar of Barcelona as a “low-cost” alternative to current right-back Aleix Vidal.
Naturally, the news has caused a huge amount of discussion in the Transfer Tavern, with many wondering exactly what Barcelona might be thinking in looking at the former Liverpool man.
Whether or not a deal such as this comes off remains to be seen but SportWitness suggests that publications like Mundo Deportivo have a history of making these links before seeing them not come through.
