It’s been a tough couple of months for the Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern, 90% of whom just want this disastrous season to be over and done with.

After the humiliation of their Champions League exit to Bayern Munich earlier this season, the Gunners were given the runaround by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier this week, with Wenger’s side slipping to a disappointing 3-0 defeat.

It’s form like this that could spell the end for Arsene Wenger at the Emirates and with many fans calling for his head, where does that leave the club this summer and who will be in charge at the start of next season?

Well, whoever is in-charge, it’s clear that there are changes that need to be made and our Gunners-mad barman thinks a dose of new, young talent would be a great place to start.

So with that in mind, here’s THREE players Arsenal must send scouts to watch as soon as possible…..

Samu Castillejo

Villarreal winger Samu Castillejo has been grabbing all sorts of headlines in La Liga this season and many have tipped him to be one of Spain’s brightest young forwards.

The 22-year-old might not be the youngest anymore but he’s still got a little bit of progress to make in his development, but his raw talent looks extremely promising indeed.

He’s quick, skilful and knows where the goal is – Arsenal should certainly be keeping an eye on his development.

Jamie Sterry

Newcastle United have another young talent coming through their academy and into their first time and it’s a left-back who goes by the name of Jamie Sterry.

He’s been tipped to have a big role in the Magpies first-team in the coming years but there’s little doubt that with the right coaching and mentoring, Sterry could play at a very high level indeed.

Intelligent, good going forward and a quality defender, could Sterry be the ideal replacement for Monreal in a couple of years time?

Ethan Ampadu

He’s the son of former Arsenal midfielder Kwame Ampadu, which means the chances of son Ethan making the move from Exeter City to the Emirates wouldn’t be a daft suggestion in the slightest.

One of the hottest prospects in English football, Ampadu has broken into the Exeter first-team at just 16-years-old and has international caps up to U19 level to his name already.

Arsenal need to keep an eye on this young star because a big move certainly beckons.
