Our West Ham United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to upset the odds and nullify a rampant Liverpool side.
The Hammers are slowly and surely pulling themselves out of the relegation dogfight since David Moyes took over, funny as that is to say. Although he wasn’t our regulars’ first choice, he has definitely made West Ham work harder and looks to be a fairly natural fit in east London.
Moyes has the tough task of trying to keep high-flying Liverpool at bay, the Reds have hopes of catching Man United who are second in the Premier League. With West Ham’s indifferent form of late, Moyes has the task of rejuvenating the team and keeping it fresh with boatloads of energy.
The return of Manuel Lanzini imminent, this is surely going to change the shape of the team and some players are going have to be sacrificed to accommodate the little magician. With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at TWO players that may have to be dropped this weekend…
Chicharito

The little Mexican has got a nice little run of form going recently while Lanzini has been out injured, but with the return of the playmaker, it seems that Moyes has no choice but to drop Hernandez to accommodate Lanzini in a change of formation for the Hammers.
Lanzini before his injury, struck up quite a partnership with Marko Arnautovic and Moyes may refer back to type in a bid to gain any type of result out of the game.
Michail Antonio

Again, Michail Antonio is another player who may have to make way for a change of formation, with the returning Lanzini and the new free signing Patrice Evra to come into the side. A change of formation could see Antonio miss out could see a front two of Lanzini and Arnautovic, which should rival Liverpool front three for creativity and causing problems for the defence.
If Moyes gets it right, West Ham could take another step closer to safety.
