Rangers fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can return to winning ways later today, after two successive Scottish Premiership defeats.
The Bluenoses have looked less than convincing in their last couple of Scottish Premiership outings, as a European spot is still yet to be confirmed. Although, many of our local residents are desperate for their side to return to winning ways in today’s encounter, as anything less than a victory could see Hibernian and Aberdeen gain valuable ground.
Indeed, Rangers will travel to Fir Park to face Motherwell later on today in the Scottish Premiership, as the Steelmen will be looking to pull off another shock result after drawing with Celtic last time out. Although, with the Bluenoses looking to get their season back on track, you can expect a dominant display from Graeme Murty’s side as they continue to play for his future.
Nevertheless, these TWO Rangers stars must start against Motherwell later on today…
Fabio Cardoso
Fabio Cardoso has been used as a last resort in the current campaign as he continues to stagnate behind the scenes, with 18 appearances to his name in what’s been a rather disastrous season.
Indeed, the 23-year-old has failed to make the most of limited opportunities in the side, as Bruno Alves, David Bates and Russell Martin are all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Although, with Bruno Alves looking less than convincing in his last couple of appearances, Murty should give the young defender a chance in the starting XI to showcase his talents.
Alfredo Morelos
Alfredo Morelos has been the standout performer for Rangers in the current campaign, as he continues to find the back of the net with ease.
Indeed, the Colombian has managed to produce 17 goals and six assists for his teammates, as a well-rounded forward that’s saved the day on a number of occasions so far this season.
Therefore, Murty has to gift the 21-year-old a place in the starting XI after dropping to the bench last time out, as a deadly finisher that will be hungry to add to this season’s tally.
