It was perhaps inevitable but the world of internet transfer rumours is awash with the story that Cristiano Ronaldo has not settled at Real Madrid and Sir Alex Ferguson may “swoop” to bring the player home to Old Trafford and the Premier League. Given the way that Ronaldo publicly courted La Liga giants Real for a number of years it remains to be seen how much substance there is but a large part of the building blocks are definitely in place for the move to happen.
United banked the vast majority of the fee they received from Real Madrid and would have money to play with if the player becomes available again. A large part of Real’s budgeting for buying Ronaldo came from the fact that they expected Portugal to be at the World Cup in South Africa where the players presence would have boosted the exposure at the club. At the moment, it looks as if Ronaldo will be at home or perhaps partying with Paris Hilton and Real Madrid may be looking for a more guaranteed return on their investment.
Will United fans need a stiff drink they are to welcome back a player many were glad to see the back of? Are there too many galacticos for Ronaldo to feel as though he is the special one? Will this rumour fly or die?

*yawn*
ronaldo is doing very well in la liga scoring 6 goals in 4 games so this ‘not settled’ rumour is rubbish. he is doing very well and so are united so just leave things be. what are peoples obsession with creating transfer rumours with regards to ronaldo?
Agree. Ronnie will score goals for fun in La Liga as the majority of those teams struggle to compete at a level comparable to the Premiership and some would struggle in the Championship League. It will be interesting to see how RM cope with the better teams in the CL and how they perform against Barca in La Liga
Wishful thinking, he`s gone get used to it !
