Martin Taylor has been linked with a move away from Birmingham City with Newcastle United the most likely destination to sign the 30 year old on a loan deal for the remainder of the season, according to the Daily Mirror.
Taylor has become surplus to requirements at St. Andrew’s due to the successful partnership of Scott Dann and Roger Johnson. A partnership so good that Taylor has not played a single minute of for the Blues this season. Now Taylor has become a target for Championship side Newcastle with Leicester City ending their interest last week. With Birmingham boss, given the go ahead for Taylor to leave it is only a matter of small time before Taylor leaves. Birmingham boss, Alex McLeish told the Mirror,
“Newcastle approached his people and said they would be interested in a loan deal.”
Taylor most famously known for that tackle on Arsenal’s Eduardo where he left the Croatian star with a broken leg and ankle in 2008.
[Is there any substance to this and should this rumour Fly or Die?]
