Manchester United fans are looking seriously outraged at today’s copy of Metro here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the publication seem to think that David De Gea has agreed terms on a switch to Real Madrid.
The Spanish international goalkeeper has been heavily linked with the La Liga side in recent months as the ideal long-term replacement for Iker Casillas and it seems that the Red Devils will lose the man they value at £50 million if they do not move quickly.
De Gea is thought to be willing to pen a new deal at United but according to Spanish publication Marca, he has not actually been offered one by the club – something that we simply find astonishing.
As our landlord notes over by the pool table with some of our Red Devils regulars, United are also reportedly considering using De Gea as a makeweight in a potential deal for Los Blancos star Gareth Bale.
This is another thing the majority of Manchester United fans think would be a huge mistake and probably one the club would not recover from so soon despite boasting Victor Valdes.
