After a wonderful season, the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern have turned their attention to how their squad is going to look for next season.

The Bhoys completed the domestic treble which saw them go unbeaten in the league in what was a sublime first year for Brendan Rodgers, and our landlord believes the Bhoys could dominate Scottish football in years to come.

Of course, the Bhoys are looking to go up a notch for next season and the off season is a great time for Rodgers to assess his squad in time for the start of the new season.

To say the fans clad in green and white within the Tavern are excited about the future would be an understatement and the talk currently is about the young players coming through the academy which may well make a difference for the Hoops next season.

Whilst it is simple to say that Rodgers needs to dip into the transfer market – there are a few players that have caught the eye of our resident Bhoys in the Transfer Tavern and the talk is that they would like to see some of the younger players lay down a marker next season, especially whilst the league is at the standard it currently is.

Whilst a lot of names have been thrown around, our landlord has done his research and he has highlighted two hidden gems in the Celtic ranks who should get their chances next season.

Let’s take a look at them here…

Eboue Kouassi

Signed in January, Brendan Rodgers has taken his time to introduce Eboue Kouassi to the Celtic first team but our landlord believes that the tenacity of the midfielder makes him the perfect partner for skipper, Scott Brown in the centre of the Celtic midfield.

Whilst Stuart Armstrong was deployed alongside Brown for much of last season, the Celtic fans in the Tavern much prefer Armstrong in an advanced position in midfield so the addition of Eboue Kouassi to the starting line up may well see an extra dimension occur in the Bhoys’ attacking play. There is no doubt from the Celtic punters that Eboue Kouassi has what it takes to prosper in the Celtic midfield and they can’t wait to see his career develop at Celtic Park.

Jack Aitchison

With Moussa Dembele’s future potentially up in the air, the Hoops in the Tavern want to see Rodgers give young Jack Aitchison a chance in the Celtic first team squad.

The young Scot is a real talent and as impressed through the age groups at Celtic Park and our landlord believes that if developed correctly, Aitchison could turn from a hidden gem in to a key player for Celtic very quickly.
