With Liverpool back in the Champions League for the 2017/18 season, can their loyal fans in the Transfer Tavern expect a strong showing from Jurgen Klopp in the transfer market?

Our landlord certainly believes so and with Mohamed Salah already agreeing his transfer to the club, this positive start has excited all the Reds in the Tavern. They believe the addition of quality depth within their side will surely make them contenders for numerous trophies once the new season comes around. The problem is that the addition of players means that some members of the squad will have to leave Anfield in order to make room for the new signings.

This is a point that has been very well made by our landlord and he has started listing the Liverpool players he believes to be rotting at the club stating that these individuals really need to move on in order to save their careers. Many quality players have been discussed linking to this and it really has sparked an interesting debate within the Transfer Tavern.

The debate is now almost over and with the help of his resident Liverpool fans, our landlord has listed the two players he feels need to escape Jurgen Klopp’s clutches ASAP.

Daniel Sturridge

A proven goalscorer in the Premier League but for some reason or another, Klopp just does not seem to rate Daniel Sturridge. If he hasn’t been warming the bench, Sturridge has been in for some harsh criticism from the Liverpool boss regarding his fitness and our landlord believes now is the time for the England striker to go and find a club that will love and cherish him, just like his former boss, Brendan Rodgers, used to do.

The Liverpool fans in the Tavern are not so sure about letting Sturridge leave but with the addition of Mohamed Salah to their ranks, they really cannot see much game time for Sturridge in the coming season meaning that it may be best if he goes and finds another home.

Alberto Moreno

Benched for the makeshift left-back in James Milner last season, Alberto Moreno must surely be looking for a new home given the lack of confidence Jurgen Klopp has in him.

There is no denying that the Spanish defender is prone to the odd mistake but our landlord has noted that he needs a boost in his confidence so he can show the world why Liverpool signed him back in 2014.

Another plus point for Moreno is that he is still only 24 years of age and any club willing to sign him will have a player for what will surely be the peak of his career.
