The 2 Liverpool wonderkids who could have a major impact on the club’s 17/18 season

The Liverpool supporters here in the Football Transfer Tavern are feeling positive ahead of the new season now that they’ve got their transfer business started.

Jurgen Klopp added prolific attacker Mohamed Salah to his options ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, allowing the Egyptian international a second chance in the Premier League following a tedious stint at Chelsea.

The Reds can now fill up with optimism that they could mount a title challenge to knock Antonio Conte’s Blues off their perch, as well as becoming a threatening force in the Champions League.

However, the fans by the bar have been suggesting that the next twelve months will be another year of rebuilding and that could mean they would like the introduction of several young talents into the first-team.

So with that in mind, these are TWO Liverpool wonderkids who could have an influential impact on the club this coming season…..

Joe Gomez

Joe Gomez has had unfortunate start to his Liverpool career since arriving on Merseyside from Charlton Athletic two summers ago, having been plagued with a long-term injury to keep him on the sidelines for the majority of last season.

The 20-year-old defender is highly rated by our Reds-mad bar man and he reckons that he could add solidarity to the fragile defence which has on far too many occasions shown weaknesses.

Especially with Liverpool’s European campaign ahead they should be looking to add numbers to their squad and I hope Jurgen Klopp utilises Gomez because he could be a key asset to success next term.

Sheyi Ojo

The boss has potentially got his attack sorted following the addition of Mohamed Salah and that could prove to be a promising sign for a number of wonderkids in the fringes of the Liverpool first-team, more specifically Sheyi Ojo.

Supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern have previously shown a fondness for the rising talent, following his nine appearances last season in all competitions, and they reckon Jurgen Klopp has plans to feature him on a regular basis.

Ojo’s pace alone could prove pivotal for the Reds throughout the 2017/18 campaign which will become a real positive attribute to beating opponents and that is why he will become a major part of Liverpool.

Liverpool supporters, do you think these two wonderkids could be having a significant impact in the squad next season? Are there any others you’d like in the first-team picture? Let us get your thoughts in the comment section below!
