Out of the abundant of qualities that manager Mauricio Pochettino obtains, we think one of the most overwhelming is his ability to remain competitive in most matches but also to promote youth so much.

The Argentine boss has presented the opportunity of first-team football to the likes of Harry Winks, who has thrived in the senior squad in the last twelve months; even becoming a prominent figure in the matchday team.

It’s that prospective future which gives the fans by the bar hope that the positive surge at White Hart Lane which continue for years to come as the club continues to promote and utilise their own players, rather than spend abroad mindlessly.

Which is why these TWO Tottenham Hotspur hidden gems need to be closely watched by supporters next season……

Cameron Carter-Vickers

Despite having made his debut for Spurs last season in their 5-0 triumph over Gillingham in the EFL Cup, Cameron Carter-Vickers, 19, is still very much got to prove himself in front of the faithful.

The United States of America international defender is highly-rated across the pond and that is potentially why Pochettino will give him a chance during pre-season, to make his mark ahead of the new campaign.

Carter-Vickers is in no way going to challenge the excellent defensive partnership Spurs have already got but he could prove to be an efficient understudy, providing that extra strength in depth across the back line.

Shayon Harrison

With Tottenham Hotspur’s striking options a tad short, it would do no harm whatsoever in introducing a highly thought of teenager into the first-team picture for next season.

Shayon Harrison made his first competitive appearance for the north London outfit in a defeat to Liverpool last October, but many will hope he made some progress during his adequate loan stint at League Two side Yeovil Town.

Of course, the 19 year-old is nowhere near the sublime standard of Harry Kane, however, brief spells of minutes in comfortable margin outings will present that confidence booster.
