With less than four weeks until the start of the season, Tottenham’s squad is shaping up nicely.

Andre Villas-Boas has already broken the club’s transfer record by bringing Brazilian midfielder Paulinho to White Hart Lane, whilst also snapping up Belgian winger Nacer Chadli for what appears a bargain £7million.

But, as has often been the case with Tottenham over the past few seasons, the club have found themselves linked with a host of big names in the daily gossip collumns – with many stories proving to have little to no substance.

The fact the club have been openly chasing a striker for the past year or so means virtually every centre forward in Europe has seen their name linked with a move to White Hart Lane at one time or another.

Sadly for Tottenham fans, not one has yet to walk through the doors.
