Celtic have continued their bid to win the quadruple treble after a 1-0 win saw them overcome St. Johnstone in the Scottish Cup.
It was a tough game for the Bhoys and they had to remain patient for the winner, which may not be surprising given their fierce rivals could only draw at McDiarmid Park last week.
However, Ryan Christie’s goal was enough to send Celtic through to the semi-final, and supporters were naturally delighted with the result.
Many have singled out Christopher Jullien for praise after it appeared that he touched in the winner, though his defensive display was enough to win plaudits also.
The result will have gone some way to erasing the disappointment at Thursday’s Europa League exit and, with Rangers being knocked out of the cup on Saturday, Neil Lennon has a fantastic chance to win all three domestic trophies once again.
