Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for the end of the season as they are fully of the impression that they are going to win the league this year.
Indeed, you cannot blame them for thinking that either as despite the likes of Man City and Spurs trying to reel them in they just keep on churning out the wins game after game.
Their lead at the top of the Premier League is now ten points after their win at West Ham and one player that particularly stood out in that game was N’Golo Kante.
The French midfielder has been superb all season, of course, and has gone on to be a world-class player after helping Leicester win the league last season.
He looks set to secure back-to-back titles, then, but whilst plenty of people are rightly lauding him at the moment there is one stat that suggests he could be even better.
As collated by EA Sports (via 101 great goals,) Kante is actually only the eighth best player at intercepting in the Premier League this season with 59 compared to leader Curtis Davis’ 82.
Not a terrible position to be in anyway but it is one stat our landlord has been surprised by.
