It’s set to be a real push for the Champions League places for Liverpool towards the end of this season and Reds fans here in the pub are keen to secure European football again next season!
There’s going to be a real fight on over the next couple of weeks if the Reds are going to race ahead of United and City in the league table but whatever happens, it’s clear that the club are going to need to improve the ranks next season.
But there’s one man the Reds fans here in the Tavern would love to see get some first-team experience next season and that’s talented forward Ben Woodburn, who has proved this campaign when give the chance that he’s set to be a real talent in the future.
And our Reds-mad barman thinks Burnley would be a great place to go to get first-team experience for a number of reasons. They’re going to be playing in the Premier League themselves next season and they need to improve their striking ranks, with goals being a little thin on the ground in recent months.
But having a young, pacy and exciting striker like Woodburn in the squad down at Turf Moor would be a fantastic addition to Sean Dyche’s squad. The Burnley manager is an honest, hard-working footballing man who would surely help the forward develop that little bit more.
Burnley isn’t a million miles away from Anfield either and it looks to be a move that could seriously help both parties out going forward.
