Savio Nsereko
Once West Ham’s record signing, Gianfranco Zola forked out £9million to sign the Italian forward.
After just ten appearances with the club, Savio departed for Italy once again.
His biggest contribution came when he created the goal for West Ham’s winner against Manchester City in 2009.
That was arguably his only contribution to Zola’s side and the only memory that is long-lasting in the West Ham fans mind’s.
He famously faked his own kidnapping in a bizarre attempt to extort thousands of dollars from relatives – as you do! His last game came in the Bulgarian league.
Titi Camera
Voted 91st out of 100 on ‘players who shocked the Kop’, Harry Redknapp then forked £1.5million on the Guinea international in 2000.
Camera was expected to come in an partner Di Canio when rumours were ripe the Italian was set to join Manchester City.
Titi failed to score in 14 league games and had the strangest gallop ever witnessed by a Premier League player.
Our West Ham regulars had drank their sorrows when Camera was at the club, but a champagne celebration took place when he departed close to 2 years later.
Mido
At Tottenham, Mido was an utter sensation. His partnership with Robbie Keane during the 2005/2006 was one of the most underrated partnerships in Premier League history.
Four years later and a loan-spell that recorded zero goals saw Mido become an utter shambles at Upton Park.
Just nine league appearances resulted in Mido being shipped onward and never to play Premier League football again.
Mido’s attitude was his biggest flaw but his ability was there. Shame we didn’t see it on a more regular basis.
