The Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern are always in jovial spirits and this week they have been on cloud nine after seeing their side finish top of their Champions League group.
Given the Gunners’ awful luck with the round of 16 draw in the Champions League, you back against them being paired with Bayern Munich when the ties are announced next week – something which would no doubt rile the Arsenal faithful here in the Tavern!
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will be desperate to land a major piece of silverware this year and their fans here in the Tavern believe that the squad is capable of finally ending their 13-year baron run without winning the title.

Chuba Akpom
The Gunners’ striker has barely featured this season and his career is in danger of stagnating at the Emirates Stadium if he isn’t careful.
The 21-year-old has been on loan to a few clubs in the Championship and that looks likely to be the best option for the player in the January transfer window, with several clubs likely to be interested in taking a chance on him.
One devoted Arsenal supporter is playing on the fruit machine here in the Tavern and he thinks there are question marks over Akpom’s application, stating that he isn’t sure the player will ever succeed at the Emirates Stadium.
Mathieu Debuchy
The French right-back is way down the pecking order at Arsenal and at 31-years-old it really is the time for him to depart the club.
The ex-Newcastle man has never really got into his stride for the Gunners and the supporters will not be having too many sleepless nights over the thought of him leaving.
One Arsenal fan is sat chatting to the landlord at the bar here in the Tavern and he says that he will gladly drive Debuchy to his next club!
