If there’s one set of fans here in the Transfer Tavern happier than any other it has to be the Chelsea punters right now.
The Blues fans here by the bar have been smiling for some time this season with them brushing off pretty much anything that’s come their way in recent weeks.
Coinciding with Antonio Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 the Blues have been on fire ever since and look set to take some real stopping if they are not to win the league.
Indeed, they made a real statement last time out against Manchester City in beating them 3-1 at the Etihad with Conte’s side looking very settled at the moment.
That means, though, that some of the fringe players in the squad are not getting a look-in at present and our landlord reckons there’s at least two who should definitely be looking to leave the Bridge.
Perhaps not permanently, but a temporary move should definitely be requested by this pair of Blues…
Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Loftus-Cheek certainly has the ability to play in the Premier League as central midfielder if he can get the minutes.
The young Englishman has looked assured on the pitch whenever he’s been asked to play for Chelsea but unfortunately for him that is nowhere near as frequent as he needs to develop. He’d be a real asset to one of the lower clubs in the league, though, and should ask Conte for a temporary move away.
Branislav Ivanovic

Ivanovic started as a regular under Conte this season but was one of the casualties of the 3-4-3 switch soon after.
He’s lost what little pace he had to start with and doesn’t look like the defender he once was so should consider a loan move in a bid to audition for his next club. He has experience of playing in the Premier League and Champions League at the very highest levels and would undoubtedly bring that to the table at his next club, temporarily at least.
