These 2 players could follow Loftus-Cheek out of Chelsea this month

Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are determined to remain upbeat despite their loss to Spurs on Wednesday night.

The Blues finally saw their incredible winning run come to an end at White Hart Lane as two headed goals from Dele Alli helped open up the title race once more.

Before then, the Premier League had started to look sewn up by the Blues who were playing some phenomenal football and so their fans, at least, are hoping they can return to those levels.

They’ll be looking to shake up the squad in January to help that along, then, but it appears there’s outgoings on the agenda, too, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek linked by The London Evening Standard with a loan move away.

That got our landlord thinking, then, who else could follow him out of the door this month? Here’s the two that came up…

Branislav Ivanovic

Ivanovic is well out of the picture at Stamford Bridge and it looks as though his days are truly coming to an end with the club.

Once one of the first names on the team-sheet, Ivanovic was even a regular as early as this season but since Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system has come in he’s been getting splinters. Our landlord thinks it’s time for him to move on, then, and find a club where he can put his vast experience to good use. He’s been linked with Juventus by The Daily Mail recently.

Michy Batshuayi

According to The Daily Mail, both Lille and West Ham are interested in signing the young Belgian.

He only came to the club in the summer of this season and our landlord thinks he is a good player but just needs to be getting minutes right now. With Diego Costa in scintillating form, though, it looks unlikely he’s going to get a kick at Stamford Bridge for the moment and so a loan deal at least should be entertained.
