Indeed, our landlord here at the Tavern agrees whilst Yahoo Sports is suggesting Spurs will fill that potential hole with the three time Champions League winner, Dani Alves. – not a bad piece of business if Daniel Levy can pull it off. A proven winner at the highest level is just what Spurs need as they look to push on and challenge for the title next year.
This has got the Spurs fans propping up the bar here talking; who else could be tempted to give up the game in Italy’s Serie A to test themselves in the Premier League? It’s no secret that Pochettino needs to recruit in order to provide more depth to his talented team and the Italian league is littered with talent who want a chance to play Champions League football and challenge for major honours over the coming years.

Patrik Schick
It looks like Pochettino has lost all trust in Vincent Janssen.
And that’s a shame because as the Spurs fans here will tell you he does work very hard for the team. But as a centre-forward you have to let your goals do the talking and he has not said much since arriving at the Lane.
Meanwhile, striker Schick is young, tall, strong and has the confidence and ability to beat the opposition. Spurs need solid back up for Harry Kane and a young, hungry player in a similar mould may be just the answer.
Lucas Torreira
Lucas Torreira may not be the first name on people’s lips when it comes to summer signings but this 21-year-old, Uruguayan dynamo could prove to be one to watch. Operating in a defensive midfield role at Sampdoria, Spurs could pull off a remarkable double swoop for these talented youngsters. When Tottenham’s first choice central midfielders are out they have looked quite soft at times but Torreira would relish the chance to get stuck in against the might of the Premier League’s top midfielders.
