Celtic suffered a slight setback in their push for the Scottish Premiership title over the weekend after they were held to a 1-1 draw by bitter rivals Rangers at Parkhead.
Whilst surely a little disappointed at not being able to get one over on their rivals, most Bhoys fans know the title is still in the bag and the concentration now turns to a busy schedule of fixtures over the coming weeks.
Even the landlord here in the Transfer Tavern is confident of a Celtic title win in the coming weeks and he is a seriously difficult man to convince at times!
But with some important games still to come, there’s a handful of individuals Celtic fans here in the Tavern want to see starting games week in, week out until the end of the campaign to give the team the best chance of cantering to the title.
So armed with suggestions from some of our most passionate locals, here are TWO players that simply must start for Celtic during the run-in…
Stuart Armstrong

Armstrong scored his 11th goal of the season against Gers this weekend and it was clear once again that he’s a player who can be continually useful in this Celtic first-team.
Bhoys fans here in the Tavern have become huge fans of the industrious ace, who has simply got better and better all campaign.
There might be interest in his services this summer, but it’s massively important Rodgers holds onto a player who might be a real star in the future.
Craig Gordon

Unfortunately for former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dorus de Vries, Craig Gordon is having one of his strongest seasons to date and has seriously impressed between the sticks.
The Scottish international has been superb for the Bhoys all season and if not for the likes of Dembele and Armstrong, he’s probably the first name on the teamsheet week-in, week-out.
Bhoys fans appreciate the good performances he’s been turning out this campaign and hope it will continue on into next season too.
