It’s crazy to think that anything could possibly go wrong for Celtic this season.

The Bhoys have been flying at the top of the Scottish Premiership and their dominance looks to continue for a short while yet with arch rivals, Rangers still looking to rebuild their club.

The juggernaut that is the Hoops’ title assault is in full flow and our Landlord predicts that if Brendan Rodgers’ side keep on in the same vain, there is literally no doubt that the league will officially be wrapped up with months to go in the season.

Although, it has been said by Celtic punters in the Transfer Tavern that despite the dominance there are still many factors to be wary off – especially when it is considered that Brendan Rodgers will be judged on European performance as opposed to domestic one.

And our Landlord agrees that if Celtic are to improve on their domestic achievements, an improvement in Europe must be made.

With all that said, here are TWO things that may ruin Celtic’s season.

Freezing out Leigh Griffiths

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers has cited Griffiths’ fitness as the reason he has found playing time hard to come by, though with a high probability of interest in star striker Moussa Dembele coming in the summer. It is vital the Scotsman does not grow disillusioned with life at Celtic in case the aforementioned Frenchman does decide to leave Glasgow.

Our resident Celtic fans agree that losing just one of these players would be bad, but to lose both would be detrimental to their European ambitions.

Reluctance to splash the cash

With Celtic’s record transfer fee sitting at a mere £6million for Chris Sutton in 2000 and John Hartson in 2001, it is vital that Celtic reinvest the big money gained from the Champions League into bringing quality to Parkhead.

Our Landlord believes that failure to do so will prove to show this season as a waste of time in the Bhoys’ development, especially when it is widely known that Celtic want to be stronger in European competition.

Brendan Rodgers himself has said that he is not scared to spend money to get the right player to Parkhead, it’s just a case of the Celtic owners agreeing with the Northern Irishman.
