Our Spurs fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see draws turn into wins this season, especially with the title race looking closer than ever before…
Whilst Tottenham are the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League, the Lilywhites are five points off of the top of the table thanks to a number of games where they have shared the points instead of won all of them.
Their poor run of form has largely coincided with the fact that main striker Harry Kane has been out injured and back-up forward Vincent Janssen simply hasn’t scored the goals he was expected to in his absence.
Kane is back now, but there must be a niggling feeling that the squad needs improving by Mauricio Pochettino if it is to sustain a challenge this season.
Our landlord agrees but thinks Spurs may have to get rid of a couple before they can start signing in January. Here are the two in mind…
Tom Carroll

Carroll has been an exciting prospect for many years for Spurs now and just hasn’t be able to get into the side.
With the club bringing extra midfielders in in the shape of Victor Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko over the summer he’s seen his task get even harder and so it could be time to move on.
He’d be a welcome addition to many clubs, though, so finding pastures new shouldn’t prove that difficult.
Kieran Trippier

Trippier isn’t getting anywhere near Kyle Walker’s spot at the moment and should be seriously thinking about moving on in January.
He’s good enough to get into a lot of Premier League sides slightly lower down in the division and so he needs to decide what’s best for his career and future.
We here in the Transfer Tavern certainly think playing regularly somewhere else is the answer.
