The Celtic fans in the Football Transfer Tavern will be looking forward to next season, and seeing how far their unbeaten run can go
With Celtic completing a full league season unbeaten, it is hard to imagine any of their players being underrated, however their accomplishment can have quite the opposite effect.
Looking back at the Arsenal invincibles, it is mainly the likes of Patrick Viera, Robert Pires and Thierry Henry amongst a few others that people talk about. No one really talks about Lauren or Sylvain Wiltord unless they’re a die-hard fan and the conversation is getting heated.
Much like the Arsenal invincibles, Celtic’s invincibles have their fair share of underrated players and these players could go on and do big things next season, like help them go undefeated again.
It’s not just the Scott Sinclairs or Moussa Demebeles of the side that helped them accomplish their goals last season, and on that note, here are two underrated Celtic players that could play a huge part next season…
Callum McGregor

Callum McGregor has seemingly always divided Celtic fans, some think he’s great and some think he’s a disaster waiting to happen. The 24-year-old can play pretty much anywhere having lined up for Celtic as a central attacking mid, central mid, right mid, left mid, left back and even a central defensive midfielder.
He loves playing for Celtic and Rogers enjoys using him so Celtic fans will probably have to start getting used to him and that’s not a bad thing, he’s a good player.
Leigh Griffiths

Contributing to 23 goals in 24 games in the league last season, the fact that Leigh Griffiths name is even being mentioned when discussing underrated Celtic players is a bit criminal. Unfortunately for Griffiths, anyone who isn’t a Celtic fan will immediately think of Moussa Dembele when thinking of Celtic’s best striker.
Why? Because he’s young and talented and does score goals, but the media picked up on him early and haven’t stopped praising him since, leaving the likes of Griffiths to keep doing what he’s doing quietly, barely even getting a thank you.
