The Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping they can go one further than last season and win the title.

The Tottenham side right now lacks any depth, because of this, a lot of fans across the country including Spurs fans believe that anyone who isn’t in their starting 11, is useless. Even players who feature in their starting 11 aren’t given the credit they deserve for such impressive displays week in and week out for the London side and quite frankly that is a crime.

Ten years ago, many players we have nowadays would be considered some of the best but with the likes of Ronaldo and Messi doing what they do, great players are considered average or not very good at all. Spurs have come so close to Premier League glory in the last two seasons and should these two players keep doing what they’re doing, they could play a huge role in them potentially clinching the title in the 2017/18 season, and they’d shut a lot of people up in the process. On that note, here are two underrated Spurs players who could play a huge part next season.

Heung-Min Son

It must be difficult for Son at times, although no one is claiming he is a bad player, he doesn’t get the recognition his form deserves sometimes down to Dele Alli and Harry Kane stealing the spotlight. 47 games played last season with a return of 21 goals and ten assists, so a contribution of 31 goals in 47 games, not bad at all. He can play anywhere across the front line and even act as a CAM should he be required to. A quality player who can get you goal after goal after goal.

Kieran Trippier

Much like Son, Kieran Trippier isn’t necessarily underrated but he should get more credit than he currently does get. Replacing Kyle Walker after Walker fell out with Pochettino towards the end of the season, Trippier did a fine job. However, as soon as Manchester City come sniffing around Walker, the rumours start flying of who Spurs will bring in to replace him when a perfectly good replacement in Trippier is already at the club. Pochettino, save yourself the time and money, just stick with him.
