Our landlord has been super impressed with just how well Tony Pulis and West Brom have done this season and it’s easy to see why with them sitting just outside the Europa League spots currently!

The Baggies are on for a great finish this term, then, but for them to be able to maintain that and progress over the coming years they need to be producing their own wave of young players.

Indeed, they have in recent seasons, as we have seen with the rise of Jonathan Leko as well as Sam Field in the first team.

They have some exciting players breaking through and Pulis is for sure the right man to keep them grounded whilst also getting the best out of them in the next few seasons. But looking at the bigger picture, the Baggies have two players in particular that could lead the team to future success.

So, with that for sure these two West Brom starlets definitely have the potential to be a future captain at the club…

SAM FIELD

Already known to many punters here at the Transfer Tavern – having featured for the Baggies on a number of occasions from the bench this season – the defensive midfielder has talent in abundance and with time will for sure grow the leadership qualities needed to be captain of the side.

Pulis clearly sees something in Field for him to be able to put the faith in him already to perform for the first team, and hopefully their relationship can grow which will allow him to progress into more of a first team regular.

KANE WILSON

Now this guy is 100% one for the future, at only 16-years-old he is already leading by example in the under-23s and will soon break more regularly into the first team set-up. This is a potential star who has great potential to one day lead the Baggies to success.

He’ll be hard for West Brom to keep at the club but if they can it’d be beneficial for both the club and the player, to ensure he grows enough and to a standard good enough before he decides (if he does) to leave the club. But watch out for this name in the not so distant future, he’ll be a star for sure.
