Rangers have not had much luck over the past five years, demoted to the bottom tier of Scottish football, lost all of their household names and had a financial crisis.
So you could forgive our Rangers punters here at the Transfer Tavern for getting very drunk to drown away their sorrows.
However, they have risen back up to the SPFL and this weekend have the prospect of their first SPFL derby day with arch rivals Celtic in over four years.
With the hard times down at Ibrox, there has however been some highlights for the blue side of Glasgow – with a win over Celtic in last year’s Scottish Cup semi-final and three promotions.
We have seen Ally McCoist leave the role as manager and replaced by Mark Warburton, who has added some experienced players into the side.
Here, we look here at who have been Rangers’ best THREE signings over the past 5 years……
Kenny Miller

The 36-year-0ld Scottish striker returned to the Gers in 2014 from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, and having played previously for both sides of Glasgow as well as Hibernian; he has a wealth of experience under his belt.
With this addition, Rangers got themselves a proven goalscorer and he has maintained that reputation on his return, and has 100% been a key player in their rise back to the SPFL.
Martyn Waghorn

The English striker is still only 26-years-old and had a mixed time during his spells in England at teams like Sunderland, Leicester City and Wigan Athletic.
But the striker has become somewhat a fan favourite since his arrival from Wigan Athletic in 2015, with an impressive return of goals.
He and Kenny Miller have formed quite the partnership up top for the Ibrox club, and is undoubtedly one of the best bits of business done by Warburton in his time in Scotland
James Tavernier

The right-back has been a hit since he too arrived from Wigan in 2015 and like Waghorn, he too has been around a bit in the English leagues, having played for nine English clubs either on-loan or permanently across the leagues, and for a defender has scored an impressive 11 goals!
Not only is he an excellent defender, but he can also get forward and his goals have proven to be important for Rangers.
Rangers fans…. We want to hear from you! Comment below your thoughts on these signings – Is there someone else who could of been there for you?
