With a new manager at the helm Southampton are now ready to really press on with their business in the summer transfer window in preparation for a massive season, which will see them take to the Europa League group stage for the first time in the club’s history.
The South Coast club announced Frenchman, Claude Puel as the successor to Ronald Koeman on Thursday, and he will be keen to delve into the market as quickly as possible before the start of the season.
One player who has been linked to make a move to St. Mary’s is West Brom’s want-away forward, Saido Berahino. Puel will have a few transfers in mind going forward but the Saints fans in the Football Transfer Tavern also have a few suggestions for their new manager.

The former Barcelona attacking midfielder is reportedly a target for Saints, who are still in the market for a winger following the departure of Sadio Mane to Liverpool and being beaten to the signing of Ahmed Musa by Leicester City.
The Porto man has been on loan with Fiorentina since January and has made 13 appearances for the club, scoring o two occasions.
Jordan Amavi
The Aston Villa full back is the most recent player to have been linked with Saints, and having worked with both Puel and Eric Black (the newly appointed assistant manager), at Nice and Villa respectively, it is a deal that looks more than likely.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Chamberlain could well be on his way out of the Emirates this summer and a return back to the club that gave him his chance in professional could be on the cards. Saints captain and former teammate of the 22-year-old has reportedly told Chamberlain that he would love to see him back with the club.
The England international made just 36 appearances for the Saints, scoring 9 goals, before he was snapped up by Arsenal, but has found it hard to get a real run in the first team during his time in North London and it could be time to cut his losses and look elsewhere.
