West Ham have had a poor start this season and it’s generated plenty of discussion amongst the punters here in the Transfer Tavern.
The Hammers fans are trying to keep a low profile after such a successful season last year whilst fans of other clubs are trying to dig them out as much as possible, over what’s been a torrid few weeks.
The Hammers have just the one Premier League win to their name and after their capitulation against Watford, a game in which they threw away a two goal lead, the derision hit new levels.
There’s optimism that now the club are getting some of their stars like Dimitri Payet back they will improve but with such a shaky start under their belt, surely Slaven Bilic is looking at ways to shake things up.
Our landlord certainly thinks that’s what the Croatian needs to do and thinks these FOUR under-21 players deserve a shot at the big time to get the Hammers season going in the right direction…
Antonio Martinez

Martinez only joined the club earlier this year from Valencia but seems well at home and is scoring goals for fun at under-21 level.
With the Hammers struggling for goals Slaven Bilic might just be tempted to gamble on the Spaniard, because it appears he has next to no fear in his game.
Ashley Fletcher

Another striker who has a growing reputation, Fletcher signed from Manchester United in the summer.
He wasn’t expected to start much this season but with the likes of Andy Carroll still suffering with injuries and their other forwards struggling, he could provide the injection of pace and confidence their frontline needs.
Declan Rice

The midfielder has played at under-19 level for his country Ireland and is thought of very highly around the West Ham academy by the coaches there.
He’s worked his way up through the club’s system from under-16 level and signed his first pro-deal late last year so his progression is impressively quick.
Marcus Browne

Browne is a very versatile midfield player.
He can operate down the wing or in central positions but his favoured position is just in behind the striker as an attacking midfielder.
He’s been at the club since the age of eight and so the Hammers fans will hope to see more of him this season in the hope he’s their latest hero.
