Another transfer window arrives, and Arsenal fans full of anticipation and optimism in equal measure that this year will be there return to Premier League glory.

What comes with that, is the hope that Arsene Wenger might this year decide to use a significant proportion of his transfer kitty.

The Frenchman is notoriously stingy and doesn’t like to dish out the cash willy nilly, so perhaps Euro 2016 will fill him with some confidence when scouting potential recruits.

With the semi finals upon us, now is the time for Wenger to see who might be able to cut the mustard in the Premier League next season.

Here we look at three semi finalists who might line up for the Gunners next season…

N’Golo Kante

It will take no convincing for Wenger to dip into his wallet for N’golo Kante this summer.

Surpassing all expectation with Leicester last season, The French international has carried on his good form into Euro 2016, and cemented himself a place next to Paul Pogba in the heart of midfield.

His stats against Romania in the opening game speak for themselves, after making the most passes, tackles, interceptions, and covering the most distance out of all the players on the pitch.

Still young having just turned 25, this is a semi finalist who seems to tick all of Wenger’s boxes.

It’s just whether someone else snaps him up first.

Julian Draxler

Quick, young, able to use both feet, and has a powerful shot.

Whats not to like?

Well that’s what Arsenal fans will be hoping Wenger is thinking when he is looking to bolster his squad this summer.

Currently plying his trade at Wolfsburg, the 22 year old already has a World Cup winners medal, and would likely be looking to add to his trophy cabinet over the next few years.

With The Express reporting Manchester United are ready to spend £30 million on the youngster, will Wenger act quick enough to lure the German international to the Emirates?

What seems like an unlikely transfer with Wenger’s history of refraining from making the big purchases, The Express reported back in April that Arsenal were prepared to make a big money swoop for the Real Madrid midfielder.

With Flamini, Arteta, and Rosicky all having departed this summer, the Gunners may look to bolster their central midfield this summer.

Leaving Bayern Munich in 2014, and making 27 appearance in La Liga last season, it is difficult to see Zidane sanctioning a move from the Bernaebu.

However perhaps Wenger would be willing to loosen the purse strings for the talented 26 year old.
