Journalist Ian Abrahams believes that Chris Wilder should be considered for the West Ham United managerial job if they decide to sack Manuel Pellegrini.
The 52-year-old is currently in charge of Sheffield United where he has done a fantastic job, taking them from League One to eighth in the Premier League in the space of just three and a half years (Transfermarkt).
Speaking on talkSPORT (10/12/19, 11:20), Abrahams indicated that the Blades manager would be a good appointment for the Hammers and also suggested that it would be a step up for Wilder.
Many football fans gave the same response after hearing the opinions of the talkSPORT reporter, questioning why Wilder would make the move from South Yorkshire to east London.
As already mentioned, Sheffield United sit in eighth place at the moment and are six points and eight places above the Hammers (BBC Sport).
Added to that, Wilder is a boyhood Blade and is loved by the supporters at Bramall Lane, so would he really swap all that to move to the London Stadium?
Here is how some football fans responded on Twitter to Abrahams’ suggestion that Wilder should go to West Ham…
@Sjopinion10 is absolutely right about Chris Wilder. He’d be mad to leave Sheffield United for West Ham. What manager would want to work for compulsive lying toxic owners whose only ambition is to line their own pockets. The clubs dead as long as they own it.

@talkSPORT @BroadcastMoose Poor argument sayin West Ham can afford to sign Bigger named players than Sheffield United that’s why Wilder would go.What does that Guarantee?
