Chelsea fans here in the Tavern haven’t had much to shout about in recent times, but one thing that has been noticeable is a few rising stars. 

Chelsea have always been a side in high demand, looking for the best and only the best. Not afraid to splash the cash in the summer months, they’ll look to do it again to avoid the current hellhole of a start they’ve made. Stupid mistakes are becoming a regularity for the blues, as inconsistency costs them valuable space in the title race.

The youth feel out of place, but become Cup regulars. As possibly the core of the future for their irrespective countries, questions are asked, would a move be beneficial?

With Conte respecting his elders, could this be the downfall? Cahill and co are they actually with the flow, continuous sloppy mistakes could lose them their place. But with a demanding manager who’s already won a title in his opening season, going without a repeat wouldn’t be too much of a disaster.

Abramovic is on the possible prowl for a new managerial mastermind, with Carlo Ancelotti echoing around mouths, an improvement is needed. With a demoralizing loss in midweek against AS Roma, the season is beginning to look more and more bleak. As the Pensioners look for a rise in form, they can’t keep on relying on the Belgian magicians tricks, as after all teamwork wins you matches.

So after a tough start to the season, the Blues fans here in the Tavern are drinking more than they probably should, as they drown out sorrows and praise those who have stepped up from the shadows.

But in reality, it’s these 3 players that have really stepped up to the plate..

Marcos Alonso

Maros Alonso, the Spanish revelation who many believed wasn’t Premier League standard during his time with Bolton Wanderers.

Well, just look at him go now, developing into one of the superior wing backs in the top flight.

During his first season with the Blues, though what’s astonishing is in only his second season with the champions, he’s fended off any competition to make the position all his own.

For a man who cost £24 million in this day and age, what a piece of business this has been from Conte. He may be a wing-back, but he’s already notched a whopping 8 goals for the club which is something some strikers struggle to achieve.

Still at the young age of 26, there’s no reason why he can’t make his next target as the world’s best left back with the bags of potential he has on offer.

Michy Batshuayi

Chelsea fans, you and your gaffer may not take too kindly to this man, but ask yourselves, where would you be without him?

Having only made the 8 appearances, he’s netted 8 times. Indeed, the Belgian has managed to top a better record than Alvaro Morata.

Still, even after all his goal-scoring prowess he still becomes out of favour, we all have to ask ourselves, what more can a man do?

After scoring the title-clinching goal last season for the Blues, you’d like to think that Conte would have a bit more respect for the Belgian coming into the next. But things seem to have turned sour, with the striker now being edged towards the exits.

At the young age of 24, still in his early days with his prime yet to come. Boasting a decent enough goalscoring record at any club he plays for, surely it would be stupid for Chelsea to let this man go. Filled with bags of potential and tipped to be one of the stars of world football, Conte’s impatience could be about to make a similar mistake to the release of Kevin De Bruyne.

Eden Hazard

Everyone knew this man was special, but this season in some times of struggle for Chelsea, everyone has started to realize just how good he really is.

The Belgian magician has only made the 8 appearances for the Blues this seasons after an injury kept him out at the start. However, he’s since scored 3 goals and assisted 2, the numbers don’t quite do him justice as he often poses often as the mastermind behind the attacks and chances created.

Without this man, god only knows where this side would be. He’s always been a perfectionist, he knows what he wants and that’s what’s been so pivotal in the incredible season he’s having. His trickery and his ability to utilize his low centre of gravity have been inspirational to watch, ankles will be broken with this man twirling around on the ball.
