These two Chelsea players should follow Kasey Palmer through the exit door

Chelsea supporters in the Transfer Tavern are expecting an action-packed summer transfer window.

The transfer window has officially opened, and the only signing that Chelsea have completed is that of free agent Willy Caballero.

Nonetheless, our resident Blues fans are excited at the prospect of potentially signing the likes of Bakayoko, Rudiger and Alex Sandro.

The Blues have already amassed almost a fair bit of money in transfer fees in 2017 alone, and look to spend big this transfer window.

However, the likelihood remains that we’ll see several departures from Stamford Bridge too.

Several members of Chelsea’s infamous loan army have arrived at their new destinations, one of which has been Kasey Palmer who has re-joined Huddersfield on a season-long loan in the Premier League.

Tammy Abraham is another example, who has joined Swansea on a season-long loan deal.

Our landlord has opted to look at TWO players who should follow Palmer’s example and leave the Champions this Summer….

Abdul Baba Rahman

Following his mega-money move from Augsburg, the promising Ghanian was preordained to set the Premier League alight.

He had produced a stunning season in the Bundesliga, adorned with several outstanding performances.

Some here in the Tavern even had the temerity to label him as Chelsea’s replacement for Ashley Cole, yet his Chelsea career failed to attain the heights expected of him.

He joined in the chaotic 15/16 season, and his failure to fulfil expectations proved to be another disappointing tale that added to the dejection that Chelsea supporters felt that season.

The Ghanaian joined Schalke to regain his best form, until his second stint in the Bundesliga was abruptly ended in January 2017 due to a cruciate ligament injury.

The best solution for the 23-year-old would be to depart the Champions on loan to testify how crucial he could prove to be for the Blues.

Izzy Brown

A product of Chelsea’s relentless loan machine, Izzy Brown is another name who is extensively tipped to depart the Blues.

Having already amassed experience on loan with Vitesse, Brown began last season on loan at Rotherham before switching to Huddersfield town in January.

The 20-year-old finished the season having scored eight goals and registering five assists for both clubs.

While that certainly is a creditable total, it ‘s hard to envisage how Brown will be able to dismantle the star-studded list of internationals that Conte has at his disposal.

The best option for his personal development would be to depart West London.

If he thrives during his time away at Stamford Bridge, he could be rewarded with a second bite of the cherry in the not too distant future.

For the time being, he should focus solely on his progression as a player.
