Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are reacting to reports that one of their star players may want to up and leave the club in the summer.
Thibaut Courtois has been a mainstay in the Chelsea team, ever since taking over the reigns from Petr Cech, who’s since departed to rivals Arsenal, much to the annoyance of our regular Blues in the bar. Still, he supposedly has three options on the table at present; a new contract with Chelsea, a move to emerging European giants PSG or moving back to Madrid, but signing for Real instead of Atletico this time.
The Belgian number one enjoyed a successful period in Madrid when he was on loan there from Chelsea and still many of his family are still in the city.
With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at if Courtois was to go, which TWO players would follow right behind him out of the Stamford Bridge exit door…
Eden Hazard

Hazard has been a long-term target for ‘Los Blancos’ and with the recent decline in form of Ronaldo, Madrid will surely be looking for the next Galactico to take the step into the limelight.
Capturing both Courtois and Hazard may be a big task but, like most of the members of the darts team in the pub know, Chelsea are now starting to run the club more like a business and money may talk.
David Luiz

Despite a reported falling out with the manager, Luiz is still playing for the Blues and Chelsea need his experience at the moment. However, come the summer, Luiz may be out and replaces by the up and coming centre-back, Andreas Christensen.
The Danish star has really found his feet at Stamford Bridge since his successful loan moves brought him back to the club, ready for first-team football.
