Time for a new-look: These 2 Celtic outcasts need to be axed

Celtic fans are actually wondering if they are the only team in Scotland following their romp to the Scottish Premiership title.

The Bhoys have already wrapped up the title and are now focusing on maintaining a standard that will really see the club progress in the Champions League next season, something that will be hard to do given the standard of the rest of their league.

With that said, boss Brendan Rodgers will be looking over his squad to see who has what it takes to take the Hoops to the new level, and our landlord believes that some players may be looking over their shoulder when the Summer transfer window opens.

Our resident Hoops in the Tavern agree and with the demand for a better European showing from their club being stronger than ever, they have outlined the deadwood in the Celtic squad that needs to be axed by the time next season comes around.

Whilst there are some interesting names on the list, it is hard to disagree with some of the names outlined by the Celtic punters, and it would be hard not to see a minor makeover made by Rodgers on his squad.

Our landlord has taken a look at his resident Bhoys’ list and outlined TWO players he feels really need to be axed by Brendan Rodgers….

Gary Mackay-Steven

The Scotsman injury sustained in pre-season really looks to have cost him his chance to prove himself to boss, Brendan Rodgers, as he has only featured in eleven fixtures for the Northern Irish boss this season.

Our landlord believes Mackay-Steven needs to leave Celtic for the good of his career and feels he will be pushed out of the Celtic door this Summer.

Emilio Izaguirre

With the form of Kieran Tierney impressing every Celtic fan in the Transfer Tavern, the calls have turned to get rid of Emilio from Parkhead have intensified.

The Honduras international is an ever dependable character for the Bhoys, but the common felling is that he does not possess the quality for the standard of football that Brendan Rodgers is looking for his Celtic side to achieve.
