Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been looking a bit nervous of late.

A resurgent Spurs side has really thrown the cat among the pigeons and the gap between them and the Blues is down to four points in the Premier League.

Though it is squeaky bum time at Stamford Bridge, our landlord believes that Antonio Conte’s men have done enough of the hard work in order to see his side bring the title to West London, in what has been a really impressive first season for the Italian manager in English football – which has seen him reach the FA Cup semi-final alongside his Premier League exploits.

Our resident Blues fans agree and they have been very loud in the Tavern all season following their side’s form.

It really has been a contrast compared to the shambles that was last season but they aren’t completely happy with the squad, and have outlined some players that simply aren’t pulling their weight for the club.

The claims are very strong with many Chelsea punters saying that some players are just at the club for the money, money that comes out the fans’ pocket and it is simply not on for these players to still be stealing a living whilst at Stamford Bridge.

Though our landlord may not agree with such harsh criticism, he does agree that some players need to be axed and has outlined the main TWO players in danger of being thrown out by Antonio Conte here…

Kenedy

Following a sub par loan move to Watford in the first half of the season, Kenedy has been part of the Chelsea squad for the second half of their title push (not that anyone has noticed).

Our resident Blues fans are less than impressed with the Brazilians impact at the club and do not believe for one minute that he is good enough to succeed at Stamford Bridge with the common view being that he needs to be shown the door as soon as possible.

Michy Batshuayi

With Tammy Abraham firing them in on loan at Bristol City and Dominic Solanke showing positive form in the U23 side, Chelsea fans in the Tavern are calling for Batshuayi to be shipped out sooner rather than later.

Our landlord has conceded that the Belgium international has not proved his worth since his summer move to the club, and keeping him may well stifle the development of many talented players with the Blues’ academy.
