Hammers fans in the Transfer Tavern are concerned about their side’s potential defensive frailties this season.
Slaven Bilic’s side have finally been making movements in the transfer market. West Ham have bolstered their attack with the signing of Marko Arnautovic and the imminent arrival of Javier Hernandez.
Hernandez is expected to complete his move to the East London side after the Hammers agreed terms with Bayer Leverkusen for the former Man United striker.
With ‘Chicharito’ and Arnautovic, Bilic appears to be getting it right at the top end of the pitch.
However, the Croat still needs to address his side’s poor defensive record. The Hammers shipped a staggering 64 goals last season and have only added Pablo Zabaleta to their back-four.
Whether Bilic does attend to the defence remains to be seen. But after snapping up Arnautovic, surely there’s no place for these TWO this season…
Sofiane Feghouli

The midfielder impressed very few of the West Ham faithful last season, so Feghouli could be heading for the London Stadium exit sooner rather than later.
Feghouli struggled in his debut season in east London and the suggestions are that Turkish club Galatasaray have submitted a £4.5 million bid for the former Valencia player – according to The Sun.
The Algerian is just one year in to his three-year deal at West Ham.
Robert Snodgrass

The Scotland international had a nightmare spell after arriving from Hull City in January.
Snodgrass was expected to continue his good form, but the winger has struggled to produce the form that saw him earn a move to the Hammers from the Tigers.
The 29 year-old could be up for a move away, then, as the Hammers look to move forwards and up the league table.
