Title winner reveals preferred destination as Celtic move appears likely

It’s been a wonderful season for the Celtic fans celebrating wildly in the Transfer Tavern, as their beloved Bhoys close in on an unbeaten season domestically.

There’s not been much to moan about at all over the course of this campaign for the Hoops in the bar, so reports from the Daily Record are unlikely to cause too much concern.

They’ve revealed quotes from Bhoys stopper Logan Bailly, who has remained a largely peripheral figure in Glasgow since joining the club in 2015, suggesting he’d be open to a move back to Belgium.

He was initially purchased as a backup to Craig Gordon, though the arrival of Dorus de Vries last summer pushed the 30-year-old even further down the pecking order.

Yet to appear this season, he’s been unable to add to the SPFL title he won last season.

As a result, he’s had to watch Celtic’s success from the sidelines for swathes of the campaign and is thought to be heading closer to the exit door at Parkhead. Indeed, he’s revealed he’d be keen to move back to Standard Liege.

“I always said that I would like to return to Belgium because I have my family and I am a little far from everyone, if Standard calls me, of course I will come back”, he said.

As you can imagine, the Celtic fans in the Tavern have collectively shrugged their shoulders.
