Celtic will make a return to action in the Scottish Premiership against Hamilton Academical on Saturday as they look to try and solidify their place at the top of the table.
However, it appears that some potentially bad news is starting to emerge for Brendan Rodgers side as the international break continues to go on.
However, there will be some comfort in the fact that the midfielder’s latest concern is not thought to be too serious.
Australia manager, Graham Arnold, confirmed that the player would not be risked and categorised the injury as ‘minor’.
“There is a short turnaround to Tuesday’s match against Lebanon so Tom [Rogic] and Robbie [Kruse], who both performed well on Saturday evening but have minor knee and groin injuries respectively, won’t be risked,” he said.
The Verdict:
Celtic will be hoping that Rogic’s latest injury concern is not too serious and will be able to return to the club and be ready for the game against Hamilton.
The Bhoys have already had a number of key players go absent through injury and it will have been the last thing they needed following the current international break.
However, there will be some optimism as the Australian’s problem is thought to be minor and will be fit for a busy schedule ahead.
