Sepp Blatter and his bung taking cronies at FIFA.
Never before has such a fix ever taken place in the public eye and nothing been done about it. How those so called officials can sleep at night is beyond me and pretty much every other person on the planet who isn’t of Russian descent. One thing is for sure though, money talks.
Mike Ashley and his amazing running of a football club
Has the people skills of Fred West and the footballing brain of a new born child. I have never felt so sorry for a set of fans in my life. He is running the Geordies like the Dog and Duck pub team. I can only hope that it bounces back and hits him in the face but, unfortunately it will be at the cost of a greatly supported side.
Snow – Not the 90’s rapper but the naff weather
How can Russia and all the Northern countries of the world manage to stage games year after year in sub zero conditions. Here in good old Blighty we have snow for 2 days and the entire country comes to a stand still. So far this white out has ruined the festive period when lets face it, we only use it to watch footy non-stop.
Quite possibly the most indecisive man on the planet. How can a guy who wants to leave Man City to be closer to his family in Argentina, when given time off did he go to them. . . . . Nope. He went to Spain. Changes his mind more than most people change their under garments. He either has really bad advisors or is genuinely a very confused guy. Amazingly changed his tune when his gaffer threatened to take the captains armband off him. Coincidence?
Has gone someway to justifying his brand new bumper pay rise with . . . 2 goals this season. Another player who has obviously got a fantastic advisor when asking to leave probably the greatest club in the world. Has only recently started to show signs of improvement after being sent to the States to recover some fitness. Is unquestionably one of England’s great players, hopefully the New Year will bring the Old Rooney back to the fore.
A game that promised so much turned into a training game after the ‘special ones’ Galacticos forgot to turn up. For weeks and weeks prior SKY bombarded us with adverts about how this is the game to end all games with all of the worlds greatest players. Messrs Ronaldo, Messi, Ozil, Iniesta etc etc. Give me Celtic v Rangers anytime from now on.
Standard of Refereeing in England
An old foe that has once again reared its ugly head as we approach the half way point this season. Surely the introduction of goal-line officials is meant to have improved the standard of decisions? Ask Tony Pulis if he thinks its getting better, I am quietly confident I know the answer you will receive.
So often the saviour of Reds fans everywhere along with his big buddy Stevie G. This season was actually spotted at St Andrews staring at the sky, maybe hoping for an act of God. Has at times this season looked as interested in playing football as Jack Wilshere is interested in looking at Mario Balotelli’s shiny trophy.
Did anyone outside the Benitez household actually think that he would successfully follow on from Mourinho and take the Nerazzuri to the next level. I think the European Champions current Serie A placing of 7th answers much of the speculation. The only person worried about what Rafa is going to do next should be Mr Hodgson after the Spaniard appeared back on Merseyside before his sacking had become official.
As a Birmingham City supporter I realise that no one else in England cares about our bumbling frontman but, I thought I would give you all a taster of how we Brummie’s feel. At £6 million, some investment for a club of Birmingham’s stature we expected at the very least someone who could stand up properly. He was described by some poor misguided soul as “taller than crouch and better on the deck”, I have no idea who they were watching at the time but it sure as hell wasn’t Zigic, the man who has the stability of a baby giraffe. If anyone thinks that there clubs strikers are misfiring or over-rated please spare a thought for us Brummie’s.
