Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking up with interest after their weekend disappointment and as our landlord reminds us, the White Hart Lane faithful expect far more than they are getting at the minute.
Given they want to be pushing for top four, the results and indeed squad leave a far bit to be desired at times and there are a couple of players we think deserve to face the axe.
Under new manager Mauricio Pochettino, certain players have come on leaps and bounds and we certainly think Erik Lamela has made the most of his second chance at the club.
That being said, there are others who are guilty of being a drain on squad places and indeed the resources of the club.
With January drawing ever closer and the games coming thick and fast, we have come away from the pool table and put together a list of five players we think are deserving of the axe unless there is a dramatic improvement between now and January.
Click on White Hart Lane to reveal the top five players we think are destined for the axe this January.
