Borna Barisic has proved a vital part of Rangers’ side this season which could be seen as the quite the turnaround.

Indeed, his first season at Ibrox was interrupted with injuries, loss of form and having his mental toughness questioned by manager Steven Gerrard.
Still, with a full pre-season under his belt he has returned fitter and stronger, claiming he is in a much better position to show his true colours as reported in The Scottish Sun.
In fact, two games against St Joseph’s in the Europa League and St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership appear to have given him his newfound confidence.
An assist and a goal against St Joseph’s – although Connor Goldson was wrongly credited with the goal – followed by his exquisite winner against St Mirren reminded fans of why he was signed for £2.2m (per Transfermarkt) from Osijek in the first place.
He has started 8 of the last 9 games and now has an impressive 3 goals and 4 assists from 10 games at left-back so far this season.
With many Rangers fans holding their hands up to admit they were wrong about Barisic, they took to Twitter to express their delight at his recent form.

Big respect for Borna Barisic atm. It’s very easy to hide when things aren’t going your way, but he’s fought hard to get back in the team and make the lb slot his own. Well done to @georgedmundson4 on a great performance as well, him and Katic are a great future for the club

To be fair mate you call it as you see it. It was clear he was a good player but was simply not settling. He has regained his mojo now though. A fit and flying Borna will be huge for us

Barisic’s return to form has also led to an 80’s classic reverberating around Ibrox, if you know, you know.
