Chelsea have ruled out that they will sell Fernando Torres in the January transfer market.
Speculation on Wednesday had suggested that Chelsea were ready to accept offers for as little as £20m for the Spaniard who they bought from Liverpool for £50m just 11 months a go.
However, a spokesman from Chelsea said:
“The story is total nonsense. Fernando is in the long-term plans at Chelsea.”
Rumours had even surfaced that Torres could make a dramatic switch back to former club Liverpool.
