The dominant narrative at Tottenham right now surrounds the managerial vacancy.
Thomas Frank was dismissed after just eight difficult months in charge, with Spurs slipping to 16th in the Premier League and sitting only five points clear of the relegation zone following a worrying run of results.
The club are yet to appoint a permanent successor, though speculation is intensifying. Among the leading candidates is former Spurs and Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, whose potential return has sparked excitement among supporters desperate for stability and direction.
If reports are accurate, Pochettino may not be the only familiar face heading back to north London. A player he once described as “fantastic” could also be part of the summer rebuild.
Tottenham Make Contact for Pulisic
Christian Pulisic has entered the final 18 months of his contract at AC Milan, and uncertainty is beginning to grow around his long-term future in Italy. Reports suggest there are concerns within the winger’s camp over the lack of progress regarding a contract extension, prompting exploratory conversations ahead of the summer window.
The 27-year-old is believed to be open to a return to the Premier League after previously representing Chelsea. While Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been sounded out, TEAMtalk report that Tottenham have shown the most concrete interest so far, having made contact through intermediaries about a potential move.
Pulisic has enjoyed a strong spell in Serie A since Milan signed him from Chelsea for around €20 million in 2023. He delivered 26 goal contributions in his first season and 29 in his second, and has already registered 12 this campaign, underlining his continued attacking output.
Intriguingly, Mauricio Pochettino — currently in charge of the US national team — remains a strong contender for the Spurs job. The Argentine previously worked closely with Pulisic during their time together in England and has publicly praised his qualities.
Should Pochettino return to Tottenham, a reunion could quickly become a realistic possibility.
With Spurs facing a pivotal summer both on and off the pitch, adding proven Premier League quality could be essential to stabilising the squad. Pulisic’s experience, versatility and consistent output make him an attractive option — and if Pochettino is appointed, the links may only intensify. Tottenham’s rebuild appears to be taking shape, and this could be one of its headline moves.
