Having rested Harry Kane against Tranmere on Friday night, a lot of Tottenham fans were delighted that their striker would be given a break and could have 90 minutes of rest. However, with the score at 6-0 and the Lilywhites cruising to a massive win, Pochettino opted to bring on his star man, and the fans couldn’t work out why.

Every single Tottenham fan expected a win of some sort against Tranmere on Friday, whether they expected a 7-0 win or not is a different story, but the win was all they cared for. They got that and with it they’ll be in the FA Cup 4th round draw, but the need to use Harry Kane during the win has been questioned, even if he did come on to score the record-breaking seventh goal.
Mauricio Pochettino’s 7-0 win will go down in history as the Lilywhite’s biggest ever away win, and if Kane hadn’t been on hand to bury the 7th then that wouldn’t have happened. However, the fans would probably have rather he hadn’t been used as they have a tough Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg against Chelsea on Tuesday at Wembley, and they’ll be desperate for the striker to be fit and ready for that one.

Why Poch? U risk Harry to be injured in a match that is already won and over. I think we need @hkane to be fit for the @Carabao_Cup match. Should've let @llorentefer19 stayed the whole match.

Is there any reason why Kane sholud enter with a game 0-6? We should preserve our team.

Cruel.

Harsh from Poch.

The fans were shocked to see Kane being prepped to come on, and would rather have seen the hat-trick hero, Fernando Llorente see out the game.
